Municipal and Potable Water Supply
HDPE water pipes can be used for transmission mains, distribution pipelines, rural water-supply networks, raw-water intake lines and irrigation projects. For potable-water applications, buyers should specify the required national health approval or drinking-water certification in the inquiry.
Gas Distribution
PE gas pipes are widely used in buried distribution networks because of their corrosion resistance and flexibility. Pipe compound, pressure rating, fittings, fusion procedures and installer qualifications must comply with the governing gas standard and local authority requirements.
Pressure Sewer and Wastewater Systems
HDPE pressure drainage pipe is suitable for pumping stations, sewer force mains, wastewater treatment facilities and industrial discharge systems. Its fused joints are particularly valuable where leakage, infiltration or corrosion must be controlled.
Dredging, Mining and Slurry Transportation
Large-diameter HDPE pipe can be assembled into floating or land-based dredging pipelines. Product selection should consider slurry concentration, solids size, abrasion rate, pipeline length, pump performance, bend layout and required flotation equipment.
Industrial Pipelines
HDPE piping can transport cooling water, process water, brine and many compatible industrial liquids. A chemical compatibility review is required before specifying HDPE for acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons or mixed industrial effluent.
