SIFFO Co-Extruded HDPE pipes are manufactured with a highly reflective white outer layer. The coating is extruded (Co-Extruded) at the same time as the main pipe, forming an integral part of the pipe. This means that more than 95% of the pipes are made from standard black PE material with a thin white coating on the outside to reflect sunlight and reduce heat gain.
SIFFO has invested in new state-of-the-art extrusion machinery that can produce Co-Extruded PE pipes very efficiently. This means that Co-Extruded HDPE pipe does not cost much more than standard black HDPE pipe. SIFFO's new machine can also manufacture white Co-Extruded pipes with stripes of any color to help identify the pipe's contents.

▎Co-Extruded HDPE Pipe Characteristics
SIFFO Co-Extruded HDPE pipes are the ultimate solution for above-ground applications including temporary water supply, offering the following advantages over black polyethylene pipes:
1. All-white coating minimizes solar heating of pipes and contents; tests show a reduction of over 50%.
2.Ultraviolet (UV) resistant.
3. Lower pressure ratings can be used because the lower operating temperature reduces the need to allow for pressure derating, allowing thinner wall tubing to be used. This provides cost savings in materials and by increasing the flow rate.
4. Reduced thermal expansion/contraction means less need for "serpentine" piping.
5.Flexibility allows the pipeline to adapt to terrain features.
6. Excellent solution for above ground applications including temporary water supply.
7. Double-walled, Co-Extruded, or Co-Extruded or "double-skinned" tubing means that white material is extruded at the same time as black material, bonding the two together.
