Steel wire mesh reinforced polyethylene composite pipe is a modified, new type of steel wire skeleton plastic composite pipe. This type of pipe is also known as SRTP pipe. This new type of pipe uses a high-strength, overmolded steel wire mesh skeleton and thermoplastic polyethylene as raw materials. The steel wire mesh acts as the skeleton reinforcement of the polyethylene plastic pipe, with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as the matrix. High-performance HDPE modified bonding resin is used to tightly connect the steel wire skeleton to the inner and outer layers of high-density polyethylene, resulting in excellent composite performance. Because the high-strength steel wire reinforcement is encased in continuous thermoplastic plastic, this composite pipe overcomes the shortcomings of both steel and plastic pipes while retaining their respective advantages.

Steel wire mesh reinforced polyethylene composite pipe uses high-quality materials and advanced production processes, giving it higher pressure resistance. At the same time, this composite pipe has excellent flexibility, making it suitable for long-distance buried water supply and gas transmission pipeline systems. The fittings used for steel wire mesh reinforced polyethylene composite pipe are polyethylene electrofusion fittings. During connection, the heating element inside the fitting melts the outer plastic layer of the pipe and the inner plastic layer of the fitting, reliably connecting the pipe and fitting together.

Steel wire mesh reinforced HDPE composite pipe Product Features
Overcomes the rapid stress cracking phenomenon of plastic pipes. Because the structure of steel and plastic is a composite, it avoids the rapid stress that plastic pipes struggle with.
Possesses strength, rigidity, and impact resistance exceeding that of ordinary pure plastic pipes, and features similar low linear expansion coefficient and creep resistance to steel pipes.
Lightweight and easy to install. Pipe connections utilize electrofusion joints, offering strong axial tensile strength. Connection technology is mature and reliable, and a complete range of pipe fittings and specifications are available, allowing connection to various other pipes, valves, and equipment.
Double-sided corrosion protection provides the same corrosion resistance as plastic pipes, with higher operating temperature and corrosion resistance, and lower thermal conductivity.
Excellent structure: The reinforcing skeleton and inner and outer plastic layers are integrated into a single unit, eliminating concerns about delamination between the inner and outer plastic layers and the reinforcement.
Smooth inner wall, no scaling, and 30% lower head loss compared to steel pipes.
The entire pipe is designed for a 50-year service life.
Different pressure ratings can be manufactured by adjusting the steel wire diameter and plastic layer thickness.
